Course design started shortly after the 2005 event but didn’t really get completed until a few days before Cathi and I left for TN last weekend. Much to my surprise, we actually managed to fill in the gaps I had in just one weekend. Last year it took me a number of visits to nail down the entire thing. It helped that I know much of the area as well as what the USFS Rangers will and won’t let us do. I should be sending in the proposal by the end of the month and then it’s wait and see time!

I think the racers will again have an awesome time and we are looking forward to a head start on sponsorship this year too! The race is shaping up to be a bit harder but I think it will still allow those less experienced/fast to finish.
